Privacy policy

This is Drop Zone Painting’s privacy policy for dropzonepainting.com. It covers the website, nothing else.

The request forms

The Contact page asks for your name, email and phone, the service you need, the city the project is in and the details. The bid form on Work With Us asks for your company, a contact name, email and phone, what kind of partner you are (a general contractor, builder, property manager and so on), the project type, the property’s city and the details.

Either form goes from your browser straight to FormSubmit, a service that turns a form into an email, and it emails it to info@dropzonepainting.com. This website keeps no copy of what you send.

Booking a free estimate

The scheduler on the Free Estimate page is Acuity Scheduling, shown inside our page. The time you pick and the details you give go to Acuity, which keeps the appointment for us, under Squarespace’s privacy policy (Squarespace owns Acuity).

What we log about visits

Our site writes down each page view on Cloudflare, before any script in your browser runs:

• the page, and the site, search or ad that sent you, if there was one;
• your kind of device and your browser;
• the town, state, country and internet provider of your connection, as Cloudflare estimates them.

Your IP address isn’t among them, and neither is anything that names you. The site also counts taps on our email address, form sends and the seconds a page stays open, which shows us what brings people to get in touch.

Cookies

The site’s own cookie is ts_src. It holds where your visit started (the referring site or ad, the page you landed on, your kind of device and the time), so a request can be matched to what brought you. It carries no identifier and is gone once you close your browser. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_DWNRX43HYX.

Google Analytics

We run Google Analytics too, as a check on our own numbers. From your browser it sends Google the pages you view and how you found us, and Google handles that under its privacy policy. Its script loads on your first tap, key or scroll, or three and a half seconds after the page has loaded, whichever comes first. Google’s opt-out add-on, or blocking cookies for this site, turns it off.

Other services

• Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any host, it sees your IP address when it sends you a page.
• The typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when your browser fetches them.
• Our Facebook and Instagram links take you to those sites, where their own policies apply.
